Bright and early this morning, The ACP Team attended a special breakfast at Melbourne Zoo, which included a special presentation by Alzheimer's Australia. While many animals were having a sleep in, a lone tiger came out to say 'hello'.
As the old saying goes "an elephant never forgets." Sadly many of our elderly will, due to dementia.
The presentation outlined 5 simple steps to maximise brain health and decrease your chance of developing dementia later in life:
- Look after your heart
- Physical activity
- Challenge your brain
- Healthy diet
- Enjoy social activities
